That last option is worth asking about before committing to a full replacement. Carcasses on this housing are often perfectly sound while the fronts and worktop are visibly tired.
What Eaglescliffe houses throw up
Load, before appliances. An induction hob, a wine fridge, a boiling tap and an American-style fridge freezer all arrive with electrical requirements, and on a house that also has an EV charger the total matters. Checking the supply is part of our quote rather than a surprise on fitting day.
Utility rooms change the design. Much of this housing has one, and moving the washing machine and dryer out of the kitchen frees a full run of units. It is often the single best improvement available and it costs nothing extra if it is planned from the start.
Knock-throughs. Common here, and the cost hinges entirely on whether the wall is structural. Where it is, an engineer sizes the beam and building control is notified. Anyone offering to take it out on the day without either is a risk rather than a bargain.

If you have bought a kitchen that will not fit the room, we will tell you at the quote, and that is not always what people want to hear. We will not fit a stone worktop over a run we know is out of level, and we will not recirculate an extractor in a room that could take a real duct.
How the job runs
We survey the room as built and confirm what is structural. You get a written quote listing what is and is not included, which you can accept online. We book a start date and confirm it the day before. Strip-out, first fix, units, worktop, appliances, tiling and making good run in sequence with our own trades, photographed as they go, with the site cleared each evening.
Where a wall is coming out, the building work is quoted in the same document, and the load question goes to our own electricians.

How long does a kitchen fitting take?
Five to ten working days on site. A like-for-like replacement is at the short end. Moving the sink, the hob or a wall pushes it to the long end, because each brings drainage, gas or electrical work with it. The working-day count goes on the quote.
What about stone or composite worktops?
We fit them, and the sequence is different from laminate. Stone is templated only after the units are installed and level, then fabricated and fitted a week or two later. That gap is normal and it needs planning for, because you are without a worktop in between.
Can you fit a kitchen I have bought from a showroom?
Yes, and on this housing we do it often because a lot of customers specify through a designer. Send us the plan before you order rather than after. The two things worth checking are whether the plan matches the room as built rather than as measured, and whether appliance positions assume services that are not there yet.
Can we open the kitchen into the dining room?
Often, and it is one of the most common requests here. Whether the wall is load-bearing decides the cost: if it is, a structural engineer sizes the beam and building control is notified. We establish that at survey rather than on the day.
Will the house take an induction hob and everything else?
That is a real question on this housing and worth asking before you buy. An induction hob is a significant load, and added to electric showers and possibly an EV charger it means checking the incoming supply and the consumer unit rather than assuming there is headroom. Our own electricians do that as part of the quote.
Will I be without a kitchen the whole time?
For most of the fit. We keep the old sink live as long as we can and get the new one connected early, because a working tap and a kettle makes the week bearable. Tell us if someone in the house needs more and we will plan around it.
