That last option is genuinely worth asking about on this estate. Developer carcasses are often perfectly sound while the fronts and worktop are visibly tired, and replacing everything means paying for boxes that were fine.

Strip-out, first fix, units, worktop, appliances, tiling and making good run in sequence with our own trades, photographed as they go, and the site is cleared each evening.
Where a wall is coming out, the building and renovation work is quoted in the same document rather than separately, and the load question goes to our own electricians.

How long does a kitchen fitting take?
Five to ten working days on site. On these house types a like-for-like replacement is usually at the short end because the construction is modern and predictable. Moving the sink, the hob or a wall pushes it toward the long end.
Is it worth replacing the original kitchen?
Usually, once the hinges and drawer runners start going and the worktop has swollen at the sink. What is often not worth doing is replacing sound carcasses. If the boxes are solid and only the fronts and worktop are tired, new doors and a new worktop give you most of the result for a fraction of the cost.
Can you knock through into the dining room?
Often, and it is a common request here. Whether the wall is load-bearing decides everything: if it is, a structural engineer sizes the beam and building control is notified.
