Norton kitchens are mostly period kitchens, and period kitchens are mostly about the room rather than the units. What Norton properties throw up
Floors that are not level. Period floors rarely are, and a run of units is unforgiving about it. Scribing and packing is done properly at the time rather than discovered when a stone worktop is templated and will not sit.

The mistake we see most
Appliances ordered before the survey. Integrated appliances have exact housing dimensions, and American-style fridge freezers need width and usually a water supply that does not exist yet. Send us the list before you buy.
When we are the wrong choice
If you have bought a kitchen that will not fit the room, we will say so at the quote and that is not always welcome. We also will not fit a worktop over a run we know is out of level, or recirculate an extractor in a room that could take a real duct.

How long does a kitchen fitting take?
Five to ten working days on site. A like-for-like replacement is at the short end. Moving the sink, the hob or a wall pushes it to the long end, because each brings drainage, gas or electrical work with it. The working-day count goes on the quote.
Can you fit a kitchen in a Victorian house?
Yes, and it is most of what we do here. The differences are practical rather than dramatic: floors that are not level, solid walls that need the right fixings, services that were run to the room later, and often a chimney breast that decides where the run can go. All of that is established at survey.
Can you fit a kitchen I have bought from a showroom?
